“The range of the SAGE Full-Text Collections is really a boon for smaller campuses within a large system. Without strong programs in some of these subject areas, we could never justify print subscriptions to any of these journals. Having access to the Collections is a huge advantage.” |

COUNSELING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY TRANSCRIPTS, CLIENTS NARRATIVES, AND REFERENCE WORKS
A unique new database for your library features fully searchable therapy transcripts, client narratives and reference works
Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, Client Narratives, and Reference Works is a new online database from SAGE and Alexander Street Press that includes the following:
• 2,000+ previously unpublished transcripts of therapy sessions dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders, and many other conditions
• 40,000+ pages of first-person accounts, which allow users to understand, appreciate, and feel empathy for those with disorders
• 25,000+ pages of SAGE handbooks and reference works that complement and provide context to the first person accounts
Up until now, primary accounts by clients and records of their therapy experiences have not been widely available, leaving researchers with only journal articles and textbooks. But these materials present only case studies, which focus on proving a hypothesis or teaching a particular disorder, rarely offering the candid voice of the client. Counseling and Psychotherapy Transcripts, Client Narratives, and Reference Works fills the gap at last, bringing the value of primary accounts to scholars and practicing therapists alike.
