General Returns Policy

Individuals have sixty (60) days from the date of purchase to return items in saleable condition. Return freight charges are the responsibility of the customer. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted. For your protection, we recommend using a traceable shipping method or insured Parcel Post.

Return Policy for College Stores, Retail Bookstore and Wholesalers

Authorization: No prior authorization is required.  

Requirements: All returns must be in their original and/or unopened sealed condition. Returns will be accepted for the life of the edition and up to 180 days after declared out of print. The original invoice number on which the products were purchased and the reason for the return must accompany all returns.

Claims: Products received damaged must be reported to SAGE Publications within 30 days of delivery.  

Nonreturnable Products: Video-audio tapes, opened (broken seal) multimedia, including software in the form of diskettes, CD-ROMs, or purchases made on a nonreturnable basis are nonreturnable. Items returned damaged will not be issued credit. Customers will be notified of damaged returns and have the option of requesting that the damaged product be returned to them, at their expense.

Complimentary Review Copies

Should you decide to use a Sage Publications/Pine Forge Press complimentary review title for your course, please call Sage Publications Customer Care at 1-800-818-7243. We will update your customer record to indicate that you have adopted the text and note that the book is a complimentary desk copy for you to keep and use in teaching your course. A minimum course enrollment of 20 students is required to receive complimentary review copies. A limit of two titles per course, and a limit of 10 complimentary review copies per calendar year per faculty member, is required in order for us to be able to continue to provide high quality texts at affordable prices.

 

60-Day Examination Copies

Should you decide to use a Sage Publications/Pine Forge Press risk-free, examination title for your course, please call Sage Publications Customer Care at 800-818-7243 or 805-499-9774 (or email textbooks@sagepub.com) within 60 days and provide us with: the invoice number of your order, the name of the faculty member teaching the course, the name of the institution, course name, enrollment, and name of bookstore through which the adoption order is placed. After notification of adoption to Sage Publications, we will update your customer record to reflect that the 60-day examination title has been adopted; the text is then yours to keep and use in teaching your course as a complimentary desk copy. If for some reason you decide not to adopt the text, please choose one of the following options: return the book to Sage Publications in saleable condition (postage is the responsibility of the customer) along with a copy of your original order confirmation notice; or pay the amount indicated on the order confirmation notice that you received along with the book. If after the 60-day examination period you have not contacted Sage Publications and notified us of your adoption, or returned or paid for the book, Sage Publications will send you a reminder invoice statement that your account has an outstanding balance.

Single issues

Multiple-copy discounts for single or special issues of Sage journals are available. The following discounts apply to each order of a single issue of a journal. Quantity discounts do not apply to orders of multiple copies of different issues of a journal or journals. Multiple-copy discounts cannot be used in combination or with any other offers.

Article reprints

Sage Publications offers reprints of published articles from over 200 professional journals that can be utilized for both educational and promotional purposes.

 

Fewer than 100 reprints:

Sage does not provide reprints in quantities under 100 but you may order back issues of the issue containing the article. To place an order for fewer than 100 copies, please contact Sage Customer Care at (800) 818-7243 or (805) 499-9774.
