SAGE Publications “eReference” Registration DrawingOfficial Rules and Regulations HOW TO ENTER: Individuals wishing to enter the drawing for 10 online SAGE eReference Encyclopedias of their choice must enter online by registering for an email alert at www.sagepublications.com/eReference . No purchase is required. Entries must be received by January 01, 2007. Limit one (1) entry per person. Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incorrect, incomplete, stolen, garbled, misdirected, undelivered or delayed entries or for entries not received by specified deadline; or for printing, distribution, production, human or other errors relating to or in connection with the Drawing, including, without limitation, errors in any advertising materials, the administration of the Drawing, or the processing of entries or the announcement of the prizes. All entries become the property of SAGE Publications and will not be returned. PRIZE DETAILS: One winner will be randomly selected and that winner may select 10 online SAGE eReference Encyclopedias of their choice. This prize has no monetary value and the winner is not entitled to receive cash in lieu of books. The books selected may not be returned for cash to SAGE Publications or to Pine Forge Press. SAGE Publications reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. Prizes are not transferable. * Certain SAGE Reference titles may not be included. DRAWING AND AWARDING OF PRIZES: The winner will be determined in a random drawing to take place on January 1, 2007, from all eligible entries received by the entry deadline. The winner will be notified by January 15, 2007. The winner must select his/her titles by June 1, 2007 from all ebooks already published or about to be published. In the event of noncompliance with this time period, with these Official Rules or if prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, prize may be forfeited and, at SAGE Publications’ discretion, awarded to an alternate entrant. ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. ELIGIBILITY: Individuals entering must be age 18 or older. International entries are accepted. Void where prohibited. Drawing is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. The winner is responsible for all taxes applicable to prize awarded. Employees of SAGE Publications and Pine Forge Press and their immediate families are not eligible to enter this contest. Limit one 'Coming Soon' winner per household in a twelve-month period. GENERAL: By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Regulations and that decisions of SAGE Publications are final and binding on all matters. Entry constitutes permission for SAGE Publications and its designees to use the winner’s name, city, and state of residence for advertising, promotional, and other purposes in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without further compensation, notification and permission, except where prohibited by law, and the prize winner agrees to confirm such permission in writing promptly upon request. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Drawing or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration conducted in Ventura County, California, pursuant to the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Drawing, but in no event attorney's fees. If for any reason the Drawing is not capable of running as planned, including for reasons of tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Drawing, SAGE Publications reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the Drawing and to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, violates these Official Rules and Regulations, or acts in a disruptive manner.
