At SAGE we belive in adding globally, locally, and within our own community. As befits a company devoted to education and the dissemination of knowledge, much of SAGE's civic efforts are focused on increasing educational opportunities. SAGE supports the local arts and contributes to various charitable organizations.
SAGE encourages employee community involvement through sponsorship of volunteer programs and matching of charitable donations.
Education and Career Development
SAGE actively supports local schools and local students. Founded by the employees in 1995, the SAGE Scholarship Fund (SSF), awards three college scholarships annually to local high school seniors in the Ventura County area.
In addition to SSF, some examples of educational community involvement include:
- Sponsorship of the International Baccalaureate Program at Newbury Park High School
- Mini-grants to local teachers for classroom development
- Establishing the center for the Study of the Mind, in partnership with U.C. Santa Barbara
- Tuition grants to teachers for specialized programs
Performing Arts
SAGE believes in the importance of the arts in the community and in education. The company is a financial supporter of the Alliance for the Arts and the New West Symphony. Both organizations contribute significantly to the quality of life in our community, bringing world renowned speakers, actors, and musicians to Thousand Oaks.
Charitable Organizations
SAGE supports many local and regional organizations, such as the American Cancer Society, food drives for the needy, and blood banks. |
